Bachelor in Paradise season 7 lovebirds Serena Pitt, 25, and Joe Amabile, 36, got engaged on the season finale of the show, and, just over a year later, they announced that they got married. Bachelor Nation first met Joe when he appeared on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette in 2018. Although she did not feel a connection with him and sent him home on the first night, fans fell in love with “Grocery Store Joe.” He appeared on Bachelor in Paradise season 5 later that year.
Serena got her Bachelor Nation start on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor in 2021. She did not find love with him, but decided to try her luck in Mexico for Bachelor in Paradise season 7, where she met Joe. When Joe first arrived in Paradise, he shared that he hoped to meet Serena, and they had an instant connection. They shared a refreshingly drama-free relationship. They enjoyed their time together and fell more in love with each passing day. Their relationship has blossomed beautifully since their first meeting on the beach to their wedding in New York City.
Summer 2021 – Serena Pitt & Joe Amabile Meet On Bachelor in Paradise
Serena and Joe met on the first day of Bachelor in Paradise season 7. Joe was interested in meeting Serena, and they quickly became inseparable, spending their days snuggling on the day beds and kissing in the pool. They had an easy, happy relationship. Not even the return of Joe’s ex-girlfriend, Kendall Long, could separate them. They professed their love for each other and exchanged roses throughout Bachelor in Paradise season 7.
Summer 2021 – Serena Pitt & Joe Amabile Get Engaged
Joe proposed to Serena on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise season 7. As they began their engagement scene, Serena admitted to Joe that she recently was very cynical about love, but meeting him made her optimistic that Paradise could work out for her. She told him that she was head over heels in love with him, and she fell more in love with him every single day. Joe then told Serena that he loved her too, listing the many things that he loved about her. He then got down on one knee and presented her with an engagement ring. Serena happily accepted Joe’s proposal, and they left Paradise engaged.
March 2022 – Serena Pitt & Joe Amabile Move In Together
For the first eight months of their relationship after Bachelor in Paradise, Serena had been living out of a suitcase, as she and Joe had a long-distance relationship. They had been splitting their time between Joe’s hometown of Chicago and Serena’s home in Toronto. They had shared that they wanted to move to New York City as a compromise, stating that it was close enough to each of their hometowns and families to make them both happy. In March, they finally moved into their perfect home together in Chelsea, a neighborhood on the West Side of Manhattan.
August 2022 – Serena Pitt & Joe Amabile Have An Engagement Party
On Aug. 25, 2022, Serena and Joe celebrated their engagement with a party at the Flora Lounge in the 1 Hotel Toronto, Serena’s hometown. Serena described the party as having an elevated boho vibe, which is the couple’s style. The couple served a pair of His and Hers cocktails at the party. Serena’s was an extra dirty martini, while Joe selected an old fashioned. The party also featured finger food rather than a formal meal, so that guests could mingle and have fun. For dessert, they served one of Joe’s favorites, cookies. The engagement party guest list included fellow engaged Bachelor in Paradise season 7 couple Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch. Natasha Parker, who also appeared on the season, and is now the co-host of the Click Bait with Bachelor Nation podcast with Joe and Tia Booth, also joined the festivities. Clay Harbor, who appeared on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette with Joe, was a guest as well.
October 2022 – Serena Pitt & Joe Amabile Get Married
On Oct. 27, 2022, Serena and Joe got married at City Hall in New York City. Natasha was their witness and took the video of the ceremony. They said that they chose her because she saw their relationship grow from the very beginning. Joe and Serena still plan to have a big wedding next September, which they are already planning. In a statement to People, they shared, “We can’t wait to celebrate with all of our family and friends next year at our wedding because who doesn’t want to marry the love of their life twice?”
Serena and Joe have had one of the sweetest Bachelor in Paradise love stories. They have a supportive and loving relationship.
