The 15th season of Married At First Sight has recently wrapped up, meaning that fans of the show no longer have to wonder which of the five San Diego couples will stay together on Decision Day. Questions that arose for fans during the season centered around whether the women’s retreat during episode 14 would help give the spouses a refreshed perspective on their potential marriages and if Lindy and Miguel’s romantic prom night would have an impact on their final decision.
Now, fans can only look ahead to season 16, which should be arriving sometime in early 2023. It’s also always fun for fans to forecast how the couples’ marriages will go and try to determine if they are built to last. Therefore, it’s a good time to check in with the cast of MAFS 2 and see what they’ve been up to since the show aired in 2015.
Jaclyn Methuen
Vodka saleswoman Jacyln Methuen married real-estate agent Ryan Ranellone in season 2 of the hit reality dating show despite voicing her lack of a physical attraction to him. While Ryan was initially smitten with Jaclyn, his fizzling romantic interest in her and lack of affection led to trouble in paradise. As such, they divorced before the reunion episode.
Fortunately for Jaclyn, she entered a new relationship after meeting a man on Bumble in 2017. In 2019, the two welcomed a baby daughter named Alaina and in January 2022, they welcomed a son named Antonio Paul, revealing on her Instagram that, “Antonio Paul came in hot at 7lbs. 5oz & 20in. long on Friday, January 28th.” When Jaclyn isn’t working for Tito Vodka in 2022, she’s spending time with her two adorable children as a proud “helicopter mom.”
Ryan Ranellone
After splitting from Jaclyn shortly after season 2 of the long-running reality TV show concluded, Ryan Ranellone has since shunned the reality TV limelight and gone back to his real estate career on Long Island, New York. His Instagram page is loaded with ads and promotions for his company, The Ranellone Team, which is a wise way of drumming up new business.
However, it’s not all business for Ryan in 2022, as he’s recently shared vacation photos from his time in Cabo, San Lucas, this past summer, spent time with his nephew around the holidays, and most recently enjoyed a picnic with his pet Goldendoodle five weeks ago. Perhaps most interesting, Ryan revealed a few days ago that he once served as Ed Helms’ stunt double on The Office, posting a throwback pic of his fellow cast members.
Davina Kullar
Pharmaceutical saleswoman Davina Kullar shared a similar medical background with her marital match, Sean Varricchio, who was a trauma nurse at the time of their marriage on the guilty-pleasure reality show. Alas, the two couldn’t decide where to live and start their lives together, leading to matrimonial strife from the honeymoon on.
Following their mutual decision to get divorced, Davina has left her life in New York behind to work as an Ophthalmology Specialist for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. in North Carolina (per LinkedIn). On the personal front, Davina married a man named Donald Davis in 2016. On May 8, 2019, the two welcomed their first child, a son named Hudson, who Davina proudly beams about on Instagram.
Sean Varricchio
Since splitting from Davina on Divorce Day, Sean Varricchio has experienced just as many sweeping life changes as his former spouse. In addition to serving as an ER nurse in 2022, Sean has remarried to a woman whose identity remains under wraps. Sean and his wife are the proud parents of a little girl named Ellie, as well as a dog named Finn (per his private Instagram bio).
Given how things ended so ugly on the MAFS 2, it’s no real shock to see Sean opt for a more private and secret life since his time on TV. Per Sean’s Twitter account, he and his family currently reside in Freehold, New Jersey, although most of his posts involve his passions for the Miami Dolphins and San Jose Sharks sports teams. While Sean has opted to retreat from the reality TV spotlight, it’s nice to know he found true love and began a happy and healthy family since his time on Married At First Sight.
Jessica Castro
Few MAFS couples have been as combative and argumentative as Jessica Castro and her husband Ryan DeNino. Despite their hysterical dustups, Jessica opted to stay married on Decision Day. However, their union crumbled once Jessica discovered Ryan had cheated on her on Valentine’s Day. Afterward, Jessica filed a police report alleging Ryan of abusive verbal threats, which he also echoed on a live mic during the reunion episode of the beloved reality dating show.
Leaving the drama behind since her time on the show, Jessica is now married to a man named Sergio, whom she’s been with since 2018. In February 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, Sergio Jr., whom Jessica proudly boasts about on Instagram and just took to a pumpkin patch for Halloween. Professionally speaking, Jessica has left her receptionist days behind to start a partnership with Shampoo Mafia to promote healthy hair.
Ryan DeNino
Following a slew of legal trouble that resulted from his threatening abuse of his wife Jessica, Ryan DeNino has kept a relatively low profile, likely to avoid any more ire from fans. While he does stay relatively active on Instagram, it appears his more personal account is set to private. Although Ryan has an active Twitter account, it’s hard to tell what he’s up to nowadays since he hasn’t posted since October 2020.
Considering what an ugly and tumultuous time he had on MAFS 2, it’s no real shock that Ryan has receded from the TV reality limelight to keep his personal matter more private. While some contestants parlay their 15 minutes of fame on the show to branch out, start brands, or become an even bigger reality TV star, others like Ryan prove that appearing on such shows is a privilege and not a right. Who knows if viewers will ever see Ryan DeNino on TV again.
